I really love how interactive this game is and I've gotten better with working with my group collectively to battle in the GBG etc. The downside to this is that in order to stay afloat you need to have purchased so many diamonds to keep your army built up. It's not enough to earn them in rewards. You can build the special building that will help your army, but it's got to be a healthy balance of homes, coins, what your needs are. Expansions just don't come often enough.

Hello! Thank you for your opinion! Forge of Empires is not a quick-paced game. We focus on a long-term city and empire building and working with your guild over a period of time. Expansion are not gained by great buildings. If you're looking for more action, make sure to check Guild Expeditions out and try our Daily Challenges :).

For years, I loved this game. Now, every event has pay-to-win tiers that greatly increase atk and def stats of event buildings for those willing or able to pay. Purchasing the highest tiers for each event ($30 per event) are the ONLY way to fully upgrade event buildings now. Fastest way to kill a fun game - make it pay-to-win. The addition of ads a while back was bad enough, this is game breaking. Most of my guild has already left and I was one of the die-hard holdouts. Now, I'm out too. Sad.

Hi! Forge of Empires is a completely free game and entire content is available free of charge. You can get every building and get to every possible area without spending anything :]. You of course can purchase premium currency in order to speed everything up, but it is in no way required or needed to progress through the game.

I love this game, been playing it on and off again for years. Though I do have two wishes that would help improve my personal game experience. First one is the ability to rotate buildings, I find it frustrating that I cannot rotar buildings. My second wish is the ability to do things on the mobile app as I can on the desktop, for example change the player name.
